Unakite Tumbled

Description

Unakite tumbled stones look like nothing else on the shelf, which is usually the reason somebody picks one up in the first place.

The mix of colours and patterns are what stop people first, because you get pink and green in the same stone, and not blended into each other the way you might expect. They sit right up against one another and both stay completely themselves, a soft salmon pink pressed hard against an olive green, with dark greens threading between some of them. Look properly at the second photograph and you will find one stone that has gone almost entirely pink with a single green patch in the corner, and another that is so dark and mossy you would not immediately guess the two came out of the same bag.

This stone is several minerals grown together into one stone rather than a single mineral on its own. The pink is Feldspar and the green is Epidote, two different minerals that grew together into one stone, which is why no two pieces have ever been alike and why the variation is so much wider than you get with almost anything else.

Unakite is well known for bringing balance, and when you look at one, you can see exactly why. A stone made of different things sitting comfortably side by side bringing together the parts of you that have probably been pulling you in opposite directions, making it one of the most useful things a crystal can offer.
