After becoming a new mum and going through a postpartum mental health breakdown, I understood what it felt like to run so far past empty that stopping felt impossible, even dangerous. Even long after my son had fallen asleep, it didn’t feel safe to fully switch off, and the plates kept spinning in my head long after there was any reason for them to.

What I learned slowly, and what changed everything, was that pausing is not a luxury or a reward for getting everything done, it is a necessity to keep us functioning, and five minutes of genuine pause can shift your entire outlook on a day. It can bring back clarity, ease stress, restore creative flow and emotional balance, and most importantly it can help you feel like yourself again rather than someone trying to be in all places at once.

Losing that ability to pause doesn’t happen all at once. It happens gradually and quietly, until one day you realise your light has dimmed and you can’t quite remember when it happened. The Pause Box was created to help you find it again.

Every item in this box was chosen with intention. The crystals were selected specifically for their energies around slowing down, releasing guilt and restoring emotional balance, and the candle scent was was specifically chosen because of what it does to the atmosphere around you, and the eye masks were chosen because sometimes the body needs a physical signal to slow down before the mind will follow.

Rough Rose Quartz. Holding a rough piece of Rose Quartz is completely different to holding a tumbled one. The weight of it, the texture, the way it sits in your hands, all of it helps you slow down without trying.
