Description
These Satin Spar flat points will be the hardest working crystals in your whole house.
Satin Spar is the housekeeper of the crystal world. Crystals pick up and hold onto energy, and this is the one that clears it all away again. Lay a bracelet, a tumble or any hard working crystal on or beside one of these points overnight, and by morning it’s been cleansed and refreshed without you lifting a finger, no full moon, no rituals, no remembering required. The flat shape makes these especially good at it, because there’s room for jewellery and small pieces to rest right on top, and each point has that soft glow running through it, like there’s a light on somewhere inside.
It works on cleansing people too, and this is my favourite Satin Spar job of all. After a day of being around draining people or sticky energy vibes that you can almost feel clinging to you on the drive home, you can take your point and sweep it slowly down your body from head to toe, an inch or so away from you, like you’re combing off the day. It sounds simple because it is, and it takes less than a minute to feel like you’ve left everyone else’s energy at the door where it belongs.
Beyond the cleansing, Satin Spar is loved for bringing peace and calm into a space, for clearing a foggy head, and for that quiet, settled feeling that makes it a favourite for bedrooms, meditation corners and anywhere the day needs washing off. It’s very happy in a bedroom and will turn any space into a tranquil little retreat.
Let’s talk about the name though, as I know some of you might have questions. Satin Spar is one of the most misnamed crystals on the high street. You’ll probably see pieces exactly like this sold everywhere as Selenite, but nearly all of it is actually Satin Spar. I’m not sure when it became a thing to get their names mixed up, but it’s still very common. The two are actually sisters from the same mineral family, but they’re not the same crystal and they don’t carry the same energy, but it’s easy to tell them apart. This version is Satin Spar, and is the milky, glowing one, and is the practical, cleansing sister. True Selenite is the one that looks like glass, and it grows in layers, and it’s so delicate that you’ll rarely see it carved into anything. Its energy is quieter and stiller, and it holds a calm space rather than doing any sweeping or cleansing.
Some handy to know facts: Satin Spar is extremely delicate and can be scratched or chipped easily. It also doesn’t like getting wet, so please store this crystal away from water, and avoid water cleansing.
Each point is sold individually, and measures approx 20 x 4cm.
