Theresa Cheung wrote the deck and its booklet to make the runes feel easy and relevant today, with each rune covering topics like prosperity, strength, travel, opportunity, joy and even disruption, so there’s a rune for almost any situation you might be facing.

The artwork by Camilla Perkins is bold and full of colour, pairing each rune with a modern scene. On the card in the photos, Laguz, the rune linked with water, sits above a surfer paddling out through bright turquoise waves with two sea turtles swimming underneath. Every card has its rune symbol and name in the top corner, making it easy to learn the runes as you go, so whether you’re a beginner or someone who’s used runes before, this deck is easy to use.

The booklet explains what each rune means and gives you different ways to use the cards, and everything comes packed in a sturdy box with a sunny scene of palm trees and a snowy mountain on the front.
