This little Agate cloud brought a steady, light calm with her the moment she arrived.

She’s small enough to sit in the palm of your hand, and that’s precisely where she does her best work. Soft grey all over with a darker grey flash sweeping across her, which honestly makes her look even more like a little cloud that’s thinking about raining.

The more time I spend with her, the more I realise everything about this little cloud is a bit backwards, and I love her all the more for it. Clouds float, but this one grounds you, because Agate is the stone people have leaned on for steadiness for thousands of years. Clouds are the softest things in the sky, but she’s solid stone, worn and carried for protection and strength since ancient times. And my favourite of all, old Persian lore claimed Agate could keep storms away, which has to be the best joke a stone shaped like a rain cloud has ever told.

Agate is also known for clearing a foggy head, and yes, a cloud that clears fog is another one of her little jokes, sharpening your focus and helping you think straight when everything feels like a lot.
